Under the general direction of the Enforcement Manager (Supervisor I), the Analyst II performs complex analytical work in support of the Bureau's Enforcement Unit. Responsibilities include conducting routine investigations involving licensees, administering the Bureau's Citation, Collections, and Cost Recovery Program, coordinating the statewide inspection program, preparing reports and recommendations, and serving as the liaison for Enforcement Unit. Working Conditions

Candidates who reside outside of the State of California may be admitted to the job interview. However, they must reside in the State of California once they are hired and start working.

Effective July 1, 2025, the State of California implemented the Personal Leave Program 2025 (PLP 2025) which reduces an employee's monthly salary in exchange for leave credits. Employees appointed to this classification will have their monthly salary reduced and will accrue hours of PLP 2025 on the first day of each pay period as outlined on "Section 2113 - Personal Leave Program (PLP)" of the CalHR Manual. The salary range(s) included on this job posting do not reflect the reduction in pay.

Work is performed in a combination of office and telework environments. The position requires interaction with public and licensees. The incumbent must be able to work independently, manage multiple assignments, and maintain confidentiality while handling sensitive information. 

The work environment may involve managing multiple priorities with competing deadlines in a fast-paced setting. The incumbent must be able to work independently and exercise sound judgment while handling sensitive and confidential information.

A hybrid telework schedule may be available, subject to operational needs and Department policies.

Special Requirements

Criminal Offender Record Information: Title 11, section 703 (d) of the California Code of Regulations requires criminal record checks of all personnel who have access to Criminal Offender Record Information (CORI). Pursuant to this requirement, applicants for this position will be required to submit fingerprints to the Department of Justice and be cleared before hiring. In accordance to DCA's (CORI) procedures, clearance shall be maintained while employed in a CORI-designated position. Additionally, the position routinely works with sensitive and confidential issues and/or materials and is expected to maintain the privacy and confidentiality of documents and topics pertaining to individuals or to sensitive program materials at all times.

· Ability to manage a caseload and track multiple assignments with competing deadlines. 

· Willingness and ability to travel for fieldwork. 

· Experience testifying or participating in administrative or legal proceedings
